Gwynedd sports clubs set for funding boost
A number of sports clubs and organisations across Gwynedd, North Wales, are set to receive a share of £13,000 through the local authority's Sportlot Community Chest fund.
The latest round of Gwynedd Council's Sportlot scheme, which is funded by the Sports Council for Wales and distributes grants of up to £1,000, will see funding awarded to 17 sports and voluntary organisations. David Lloyd-Williams of the council's sports development team said: "Local sports clubs and organisations offer great opportunities for members of the public to keep fit, develop their sporting skills and meet new friends."
