Hairy experiences at Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum is to launch a new interactive exhibition next month – all about hair.
The exhibition, simply called Hair, will show how the 120,000 strands of hair on our heads can reveal clues about our personal beliefs, age, habits, lifestyle, what we eat and how our overall health is.
Visitors will be able to see what their own hair looks like magnified a thousand times, solve a crime using just the evidence of a hair and discover the science behind shampoo, hair dye, perms and blow drying.
There will also be a virtual hair salon, guests can sing along to hair-inspired songs and see how hairstyles have changed over the years.
The exhibition has been designed by L’Oreal and La Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris. Details: www.nhm.ac.uk
