Handlery San Diego reopens
The Handlery Hotel and Resort in San Diego has reopened following a three month multi-million dollar renovation.
The improvements made include a complete renovation of all 217 guest rooms with new custom marble top furniture, carpeting, wall covering, drapery, 37in flat screen TVs, ergonomic desk chairs and upgraded bedding. Common areas and event space were also improved with new carpeting and wall coverings, state-of-the-art electronic event screens, artwork, and landscaping. An additional small meeting room has been added, providing more space for break out meetings.
The exterior of the hotel received a makeover, while the island-like pool area was resurfaced and the landscape redesigned. The Handlery Hotel and Resort - formerly the Stardust Hotel and Country Club - was built by the Handlery family in 1954 and has been operated by it ever since.
