Hastings council appoints tag team for feasibility study
Hastings Borough Council has appointed Capita Symonds and S&P Architects to investigate the possibility of new leisure facilities at the town’s White Rock area.
Stage one of the two-stage study will consider the financial and physical feasibility of a leisure development and if positive, stage two will involve the preparation of a masterplan and setting out the longer-term development objectives for the area, including a public consultation.
A brief given to the partnership by the council highlights the town’s aspirations as it seeks to use leisure as a platform for the regeneration of the town.
Renata Drinkwater, Capita Symonds’ project director, said: “Our joint team will focus on the delivery of realistic and tangible solutions to help achieve the town’s long-term objectives.”
