Health club opens at Chesterton College
A health club for both students and the public has opened as part of the £2.98m redevelopment of Chesterton Community College.
Funded by a grant from Sport England and £1m from Cambridge City and County Councils, the development also includes a new sports hall, changing rooms, kitchen area and snack bar. The existing swimming pool and changing rooms have also been refurbished.
Precor has equipped the 55-station fitness suite, branded as Vision Fitness, as part of a package which also included an IT management system and a marketing and pre-sales programme featuring t-shirts, posters, banners and door-drop leaflets.
The facility aims to attract between 750 and 1,000 members and has already signed up 340.
