Heritage centre proposed for Caerphilly
A new heritage centre could be established in the centre of Caerphilly, South Wales, as part of a wider redevelopment of the town's former post office site.
Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) has revealed proposals for a new building to complement the adjacent tourism centre. In addition to the heritage centre, the new building will house a library, a council customer service centre and facilities for organisations such as Gwent Police.
CCBC cabinet member for regeneration Ron Davies said: "The setting for this project is key; it is opposite the town's magnificent medieval castle, and our proposal is to re-develop it as part of our major regeneration strategy and blend business and tourism together."
