Hersheypark to launch new water ride
Hersheypark theme park in Pennsylvania, US, is to open a new ride attraction on its 100th anniversary in May 2007, called East Coast Waterworks.
The AquaPlay Giant RainFortress water ride – built by Whitewater West Industries – will be located on a new 4.5-acre park area called The Boardwalk.
The multi-level, interactive play structure will boast 225ft (69m) of bridges, seven slides and two tipping buckets which intermittently spill water onto guests below.
In addition, there will be nearly 600 interactive water features, including crawl tunnels, geysers, spray jets and pull ropes.
