Hilton Hotels signs Saudi agreements
Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed two management agreements with the Al Hokair Group to open two Hilton Garden Inn in Saudi Arabia.
The first, the 180-room Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya is scheduled to open in summer this year, while the 196-room Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Al Muroj is due to open by spring 2010.
Elie Younes, vice president of development for Hilton Hotels Middle Eastern division, said: “Saudi Arabia is one of our principal development markets. We are delighted to have signed the first two management agreements with the Al Hokair Group to introduce the Hilton Garden Inn brand to the Middle East and specifically Saudi Arabia.
“We look forward to working closely with the Al Hokair Group on identifying and executing further opportunities within the Kingdom.”
Each hotel will feature three meeting rooms, a prayer room and a 24-hour business centre. The Olaya will also have a fitness suite, while the Al Muroj will boast two banqueting halls.
