Hilton signs deal for sixth Russian hotel
Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement to open a Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Samara, Russia - Hilton's sixth property in the country.
The 195-bedroom hotel, which will be owned by Otel, will boast a business centre, a pantry, a restaurant and a bar.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president for development at Hilton Hotels, said: "There is significant appetite from hotel owners and developers in Russia for a contemporary yet affordable, focused service product and our Hilton Garden Inn brand is the perfect fit.
"Following the success of the brand's debut in Perm last year, we know there is strong growth potential for Hilton Garden Inn, especially in Russia's regional centres where there is a real need for quality, internationally-branded accommodation."
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2012.
