Hilton's DoubleTree brand continues to expand its UK presence
Hilton Worldwide is rapidly expanding its DoubleTree by Hilton brand in the UK with the opening of three properties in Bristol, Edinburgh and Nottingham.
The group, which opened 11 UK DoubleTree hotels in the last two years, will reach a total of 25 hotels in operation across the UK by 2014.
DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre will mark the brand’s debut in the Scottish capital this autumn. Located in the city's historical old town, the hotel will feature 139 guestrooms, a brasserie style restaurant and a top floor penthouse offering views of Edinburgh Castle.
Meanwhile, the 201-room DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre is expected to open this spring with a health club and spa facilities, while the 106-room DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway will launch late 2013.
John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said, "This announcement is a great start to what is set to be a landmark year for DoubleTree by Hilton in the UK.
"Following an outstanding year for British tourism in 2012, we are delighted to be at the forefront of expanding our brand in this market with new properties in three key cities, including our debuts in Nottingham and Edinburgh."
The brand first debuted in the UK in 2008 with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge.
