Sydney Tower is offering families the chance to see Australia without leaving the city these school holidays - at a special discount price.

From 27 September to 12 October 2008, every child under 16 years accompanied by a full-paying adult will be able to visit Sydney Tower for free by downloading a special discount voucher on the web at www.sydneytower.com.au

Entry to Sydney Tower includes OzTrek, a virtual reality ride combining surround sound, 3D imagery and real motion seating to take visitors on a fun magic carpet ride across Australia, journeying through its geographical, cultural and historical highlights.

Families can also enjoy a visit to the OzTrek chambers - a rotating auditorium that literally spins visitors through four Australian landscapes - the outback, rainforest, reef and city life - using animated models and moving hologram projections.

After their virtual trip around Australia, parents and kids can head to Sydney Tower's Observation Deck to take in one of Australia's best views.

More than twice the height of the Harbour Bridge, the Observation Deck combines a bird's eye view of one of the world's most spectacular cities with a stunning outlook over the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and South Coast.

Those keen to add even more adrenalin to their visit, can upgrade their Observation Deck ticket and pay an additional AUD$40 for adults and AUD$30 for children to step onto Sydney Tower's rooftop for a breathtaking Skywalk experience.
