Holograms at Grants
Grants entertainment and leisure centre in Croydon has unveiled a series of Lenticular Flip Imagery panels or holograms in the entry passage.
Gerad Taylor, an illustrator from New Zealand, best known for developing the storyboards for the Lord of the Rings film, designed the 11 panels, totalling 16 metres in length.
Tony Greenland, head of retail interiors at HOK architects created the concepts for the imagery: 'Our aim was to produce something interactive and eye-catching which brought together the history of Grants as a very famous department store in the 1920s with its redevelopment as a state-of-the-art entertainment and leisure centre.'
