Hotel development thrives in London
Visit London’s Hotel Development Monitor – which details new openings and developments – has revealed that hotel growth across the capital picked up significantly over the summer at all market levels.
At the budget end, Travelodge has recently opened two new properties in London, with another three under construction, while Accor’s Ibis brand is also seeing growth.
In the middle market, InterContinental is set to open new Express by Holiday Inns and City Inn plans to construct a 600-room hotel.
At the top end, Hilton is adding 500 rooms to its portfolio and Italian fashion brand Missoni also plans to build a hotel in the city.
