Hotel expansion for Bicester Golf and Country Club
Bicester Golf & Country Club in Chesterton has announced plans to build a 52-room, four star hotel, set amidst its 145 acre site in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Work is expected to start on the new development by the end of this year and be completed by 2007.
The hotel – which will be designed by Richmond-based architects Carte Blanche and managed in-house – will feature two bridal suites, a restaurant, a bar and conference rooms.
The facility will complement the luxury health and fitness spa – which opened on the site in February – and enable the club to offer spa weeks and weekends, plus provide accommodation for golfing breaks, conference delegates and wedding guests.
Proprietor Graham Payne has also revealed plans for six outdoor tennis courts, an equestrian centre and 20 stand-alone lodges. Details: www.bicestergolf.co.uk
