Hotel groups sign on for Tiger project
Tiger Developments’ £200m redevelopment of the Morrison Street Goods Yard site in Haymarket, Edinburgh, will include a 160-room, four-star InterContinental Crowne Plaza hotel and a 200-room Travelodge.
The respective companies signed the agreements for the operation of the hotels last week. The project, near the city’s financial district, will also feature 335,000sq ft (31,122sq m) of office space.
Architects Richard Murphy, CDA and Sutherland Hussey have been appointed to design the development and a planning application will be submitted this June.
The scheme is expected to be completed in 2012.
