Hull sports village plans scrapped?
Plans for a multi-million pound sports development in Hull appear to be dead after the local council reportedly refused to sell the city's KC Stadium and surrounding land.
According to the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City Council portfolio holder for leisure and culture Terry Geraghty told businessman Assem Allam that the land would not be sold.
Allam told the newspaper: "I am only sorry the community will be deprived of a first-class sporting facility for all the family, which would have been open every day."
