Humber Hotels sold to Elizabeth Group
Gordon Shepherd has sold the Humber Royal Hotel in Lincolnshire and the Humber Crown Hotel in East Yorkshire to Ipswich-based Elizabeth hotels by way of a share transfer of the owning company, Silverwood Industries.
The guide price for the confidential sale, negotiated by Christie & Co, was quoted at £4.5m.
Shepherd purchased the hotels from Forte Posthouse in 2000 and has since rebranded and upgraded them.
The Elizabeth Hotel Group owns 14 hotels, mainly in East Anglia and will rebrand the Humber hotels as Hotel Elizabeth Grimsby and Hotel Elizabeth Hull.
