Hurricane Harbor opens at Six Flags Illinois
US-based theme park operator Six Flags opened its new Hurricane Harbor waterpark at Gurnee, Illinois, on 28 May.
Entrance to the waterpark is free with admission to the existing Six Flags Great America theme park at the site.
The park boasts 25 water slides, a family water playground, a wave pool and a half-mile long adventure river.
Six Flags vice president Ron Sevart said: “By combining these two world-class parks we are offering guests nearly 120 acres of wet and dry thrill rides, shows and attractions.”
Six Flags owns and operates 31 theme and waterparks throughout North America and Europe. Details: www.sixflags.com
