Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced its opening schedule for the next two years.

Openings in 2004 include the 91-room Hotel Victor in South Beach, Miami; 330-room Hyatt Regency Soma Bay, Egypt; the Park Hyatt Saigon with 260 rooms; the Hyatt Regency Chongqing with 350 rooms; the 370-room Hyatt Regency Hangzhou and the 142-room Park Hyatt Zurich.

In 2005, Hyatt will be opening the 298-room DFW Grand Hyatt in Dallas; the 181-room Park Hyatt Buenos Aires; the 1,100-room Hyatt Denver Convention Center Hotel; the Hyatt Regency Nimbo, PRC, with 402 rooms and the Hyatt Regency Sanya, PRC, with 328 rooms.

The company will also be opening three more spas before the end of 2004 – for a total of 36 spas worldwide. Many of the spas have treatments for young guests, with two resorts expanding their treatment facilities to appeal to the teen market. The recently-opened Hyatt Regency Huntingdon Beach in California has introduced Sophisti-Kids, a programme which enables parents and children to be pampered together.

As of 25 July this year, nine Park Hyatt hotels in the US also introduced the Park Hyatt Kidsierge – a concierge who specialises in helping children.

In January 2004, the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is to open Plateau, a new spa concept.
