Hyatt to open hotel and spa in Sri Lanka
Hyatt Hotels will open a Hyatt Regency hotel and spa in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2014.
The hotel operator has signed a management agreement with Sinolanka Hotels and Spa to operate the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Sri Lanka.
The resort will be a 42-floor hotel in Colombo's central business district area. It will feature 475 guestrooms and 84 serviced apartments as well as a spa with eight treatment rooms, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.
The hotel will offer more than 17,000sq ft (1,579sq m) of meeting space, including a 7,500sq ft (696sq m) ballroom.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation manage and own resorts across six brand names and have resorts on six continents. The company's worldwide portfolio consists of 492 properties in 45 countries.
