Hyatt unveils new extended-stay concept
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (HHC) has unveiled its new extended-stay concept, which aims to "redefine the segment" with an emphasis on social and contemporary environments.
Hyatt House will be developed in partnership with architecture and interior design company, Stonehill and Taylor, in a bid to create signature elements that provide "warm" welcomes.
HHC has also announced that its existing 38 Hyatt Summerfield Suites hotels and 16 Hotel Sierra properties will be rebranded to carry the Hyatt House identity as part of the move.
The new concept will incorporate studio, one- and two-bedroom kitchen suites in the style of urban residences, while each location will offer the Eggs Your Way complimentary breakfast.
HHC president and chief executive officer Mark S Hoplamazian said: "We looked very closely at the way extended-stay guests live their lives today and built a strong, innovative concept based on those needs.
"We've created what we believe will be a very successful concept - one that is social and sophisticated, yet casual and comfortable, and really allows guests to feel like residents of a connected neighbourhood and community."
