Hygate takes over reigns at Oakwood
Andy Hygate has been appointed park director of the Oakwood theme park in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Prior to his new role at the Pembrokeshire attraction he was in charge at the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire Oaks.
Hygate, a self-confessed "coaster fanatic", is a member of both the European Coaster Club (ECC) and 235 Club Pleasure Beach and has ridden or 'collected' over 500 credits for riding individual rollercoaster rides.
Hygate said: "I have been fascinated with rollercoasters since riding the Looping Star a classic Schwarzkopf coaster as a child in the 80's at Dreamland in Margate."
