IBLF launches International Tourism Partnership
This year’s World Travel Market saw the launch of the International Tourism Partnership (ITP) by The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF).
The ITP is a new programme intended to provide “global leadership for responsible business in hotels, travel and tourism.”
Through industry partnerships, the scheme will work to deliver actions to ensure sustainable solutions for environmental, community, education and social issues.
Founding members of the ITP include Marriott International, Hilton International, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Four Season Hotels & Resorts, Rezidor SAS Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, The Indian Hotels Company, Accor and American Express.
The ITP has also established the Academic Advisory Panel – a group of education leaders in hospitality, sustainable tourism, research and training – to strengthen the relationship between the hotels, travel and tourism industry and education and research.
