IFI to host first annual awards ceremony
The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) is set to hold its first annual awards dinner on 10 December to recognise the achievements of IFI Mark accredited facilities in developing inclusive physical activity for disabled people.
Chris Holmes MBE, Britain's most successful paralympic swimmer, will host the evening and Michael McGrath, CEO of the Muscular Help Foundation and the only disabled person to have reached the North and South Poles, has been confirmed as the after dinner speaker. Taking place at the ICC in Birmingham, the awards will recognise achievements in marketing, creating partnerships, engaging volunteers, individual commitment and developing sport and opportunities for all, among others.
Ben Wilde, UK sales director of awards sponsor Cybex UK, said: "Cybex have been long time supporters of the IFI and are proud to be supporting this new event. The IFI awards are key for the health, fitness and leisure industries, rewarding the often-unsung heroes and heroines who have brought the essence of the IFI's admirable goals to fruition."
