Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has launched a best price guarantee for guests booking through any of its brand sites - and claims it is the 'most powerful website guarantee in the industry'.

Any guest who finds a lower price room for an IHG hotel anywhere else online will not only receive their first night free, but for the rest of their stay the cost will match the lower rate found.

"IHG understands how much price influences a guest's booking decision," said Michael Menis, Vice President - IHG Web and Interactive Marketing.

"We are so confident we have the best prices for our hotels on our websites, that if guests find a lower price elsewhere online, we will back it up with the most powerful guarantee ever offered in the hotel industry.

"The 'Best Price Guarantee' is our pledge to IHG guests that we understand their needs - and are backing it up with a free night."

IHG operates eight hotel brands - including Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites - and the guarantee is available at all eight.
