IHG opens four hotels in China
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened four new hotels in China within a within a month.
From 12 June to 12 July this year, the UK-based company opened the Crowne Plaza Changsu, the Crown Plaza Fudan Shanghai, the Holiday Inn Jasmine Suzhou and Holiday Inn Seaview Qinhuangdao.
Edmond Ip, chief operating officer IHG North Asia, said: “China is a key market for IHG and where a significant portion of our global expansion strategy will be carried out.
“The country is undergoing rapid development and we look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the country’s tourism and hotel industries.”
The company also opened the US$8m (£4.2m, 6.3m euro) Candlewood Suites hotel in Manassas, Virginia, USA on 1 August. Details: www.ichotelsgroup.com
