ISG/Trebor to design and construct five GLL sites
A joint venture between ISG and Trebor Developments has been appointed by Greenwich Leisure (GLL) to design, develop and construct five leisure centres for London Borough of Waltham Forest.
The five projects, which will consist of refurbishments, extensions and new build leisure centres, will see the leisure provision in Waltham Forest transformed over the next two and a half years with a capital value in order of £26m, funded by the local authority.
The ISG/Trebor Developments partnership is working in conjunction with GLL to bring forward the overall package of developments on a phased basis, which will see work on the first two projects commence in early 2013.
Joe Webb, director at ISG, said: "Public sector leisure provision is an extremely topical issue at present and the challenge for a large number of local authorities across the UK is how to deliver high quality community facilities with diminishing budgets.
"The solution that GLL, ISG and Trebor Developments have developed brings together leisure sector experts across multiple disciplines, to deliver a comprehensive package of options for our clients.
