ISRM to launch training courses in Ireland
The Institute of Sport and Recreation Managment (ISRM) has announced it will be introducing its professional training courses to Ireland for the first time in 2006.
The first course to be widely launched in Ireland will be the ISRM Pool Plant Operators course – the most popular short training programme run by ISRM.
Until now, ISRM training courses have only been run in Ireland when requested. ISRM intends to help develop training networks in Ireland by sending representatives early next year to train and assess instructors so that courses can be made available across the country.
Business development manager Ian Wakefield said that ISRM was planning to establish a permanent branch to cover Ireland and Northern Ireland.
“We are committed to supporting the enthusiasm and passion for sport in Ireland by helping create better training for managers and staff delivering activities. The pool operators course is the first of many we can offer.”
