The Eton Group’s newest hotel, The Glasshouse, opens in Edinburgh today.

The £7m hotel is the company’s first in Scotland and forms part of the city’s six-storey Omni leisure complex on Greenside Place.

Entrance to the hotel is through the gothic façade of the former Lady Glenorchy church – which has been incorporated into the structure – with the reception area beyond it on the ground floor and the rooms on the fifth and sixth floors.

Of the hotel’s 65 rooms, 13 are studio suites and five are suites. Facilities in the adjacent Omni leisure complex include a 12-screen Warner Village cinema, a 50,000sq ft Holmes Place health club and a selection of restaurants and bars.

The Glasshouse will be the Eton Group’s fifth hotel, joining The Colonnade, The Academy and Threadneedles in London and Quebecs in Leeds. Details: www.etontownhouse.com
