Indian consultancy launches spa near the Taj Mahal
Spa consultancy Essense Wellness has opened its latest spa project at the DoubleTree by Hilton Agra in India, which faces the Taj Mahal.
Led by founder and CEO of Essense Wellness, Gavin Rodrigues, the 5,500sq ft (511sq m) spa at the 104-bedroom hotel features four treatment rooms – one of which is a couples’ suite, another is a Thai therapy room and the other two are multifunctional.
Essense Wellness’ professional skincare range will be used at the spa for a mix of eastern and western treatments.
Speaking exclusively to Spa Opportunities, Rodrigues said: “As a new introduction to 2015, Essense Wellness created its own retail range of face and body care that is made in India and 100 per cent organic. The retail line is based around the change of seasons with spring, summer autumn and winter collections designed to suit the skin needs at specific times of the year.”
“Since Spa & Wellness have always been my passion for years, I have learnt to realise that in order to create an exciting wellness journey, it is key to create an Ecosystem of products,” added Rodrigues.
The spa’s adjoining salon uses Label M haircare products. The hotel, which has five restaurants/ lounges, also has a 24-hour gym, swimming pool and steamroom facilities.
Essense Wellness recently opened his first spa project at the Hilton Jaipur, India.
