Indoor surfing facility planned for Cardiff
Cardiff Council has lodged a planning application for the extension of Cardiff International White Water Centre (CIWW), which is in line to house a new indoor surfing facility.
The proposals are designed to enable the existing CIWW facility to cater for a range of new activities, including surfing; bodyboarding; wakeboarding; and skimboarding.
It is planned that the project will add an additional 510sq m (5,490sq ft) to the gross internal floor area of the venue, with a terrace extension adding a further 170sq m (1,830sq ft).
