InterContinental expands US portfolio
UK-based InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a contract to take over the management of the former Park Hyatt hotel in Los Angeles.
The 363-room hotel is owned by Tokyo-based Sumitomo Realty and will be managed by InterContinental’s Americas operations division, The Hotel Management Group, under a long term agreement effective from today (10 January).
Andrew Cosslett, chief executive of IHG, said: “The addition of the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City to our global portfolio reinforces our strategic growth plan.”
The group will be opening three new hotels in China and one in Dubai during the coming year.
