Interbrew adopts online training
Interbrew UK, the UK arm of Interbrew SA and employer of more than 4,000 people in the UK and Ireland, has implemented a portfolio of more than 100 browser-based courses by training provider, KnowledgePool.
The Management Skills Express courses cover a range of management, communication, personal, financial and business skills. They can be accessed via intranet, internet or wide-area network applications and can be used in tutorial mode where a user can navigate the entire course either sequentially or in just-in-time mode to check their understanding of any given topic quickly.
The courses are part of Interbrew's Learning Management System, a library of learning modules which went live in June and has since attracted more than 100 interested employees.
Learning and development manager at Interbrew UK, John Newell said the company was committed to developing its people: 'We understand that people are at the heart of every successful organisation. Although the final responsibility for learning lies with the individual, our approach is to provide easily accessible information with as much choice as possible.
'Online learning is a new concept to most of our staff and immediate access to training from the desktop is proving to be very beneficial.' Details: KnowledgePool +44 (0)870 234 5821
