Ireland's Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport is to be broken up after the country's new taoiseach, Enda Kenny, announced his new cabinet.
Responsibility for tourism and sports has been taken on by Fine Gael TD for Dublin West, Dr Leo Varadkar, who will also incorporate the transport portfolio into his ministerial brief. Meanwhile, Jimmy Deenihan - Fine Gael TD for Kerry North - has been selected to head up the new Department of Arts, Heritage and Community (DAHC).
The taoiseach has also appointed a number of ministers of state, with Michael Ring joining the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport as tourism and sport minister.
