Irish minister for transport, tourism and sport Leo Varadkar has announced a new EUR4m (£3.2m) tourism scheme for Dublin, which is designed to tell the story of the capital city.
Dubline will provide an interactive and innovative heritage walking trail from College Green to Kilmainham, building on the EUR5.5m (£4.4m) of recent tourism investment in the city.
The scheme involves further investment in Dublin attractions and infrastructure; the creation of themed walking trails around a central route; and increased access to the area's heritage.
Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism agency, will invest EUR3.5m (£2.8m) in the new project. Dublin City Council and the Office of Public Works will also contribute towards Dubline.
Varadkar said: "This new initiative will combine the ancient era with modern technology to immerse tourists in Dublin's history."
