Italy's Grand Hotel Tremezzo unveils a new wellness villa, designed by Ruggero Venelli
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como, Italy, has re-opened for the 2015 season following major renovations.
The family-owned Art Nouveau-style hotel, which dates back to 1910, now includes a 1,000sq m (10,764sq ft) 18th
century wellness-focused villa, designed by architect Ruggero Venelli of design firm Venelli Kramer – who also worked on the property’s T Beach and rooftop suites.
The signature T Spa – which is partnered with ESPA – has been expanded to include the three-storey Villa Emilia. Facilities on offer within this building include five treatment rooms, a hammam, nail bar, an infinity pool and a gym.
Also within the Villa Emilia, a new suite has been added – Suite Emilia – which will have private access to the T Spa. This is targeted at couples seeking a spa break.
Set within 20,000sq m of parkland and gardens, the refurbished 90-bedroom property overlooks the town of Bellagio, the Riviera delle Azalee and the Grigne mountains.
The hotel offers three swimming pools and four dining options.
