Jasmine's Flying Carpets to land at Disney Tokyo
As the site celebrates its 10th anniversary, Oriental Land has announced the arrival of a new attraction at Tokyo DisneySea Park in Japan called 'Jasmine's Flying Carpets'.
To open in July this year and themed to the Aladdin Disney film, Jasmine's Flying Carpets will get guests soaring above Jasmine's garden in a 'flying carpet' vehicle capable of being tilted backwards and forwards and manoeuvred up and down to a height of five metres (16ft). Suitable for even young children, the new attraction will be situated in the park's Arabian Coast area and have a ride length of 90 seconds. Passengers will travel in one of a total of 16, 4-person vehicles.
Costing around Y2bn (£15.1m) and being sponsored by NTT Communications Corporation, Jasmine's Flying Carpets will lift the total number of attractions at the park to 27.
