Jaya Ancol adds Martian ride
The Jaya Ancol theme park in Indonesia has added a Martian ride to its attractions.
Called Perang Bintang, the 215m-long course takes visitors through a Martian landscape with the mission to help the inhabitants of the red planet by shooting down their enemies, called the Mantites.
Designed by HEIMO, the €4.5m ($5.9m, £3.2m) ride has 16 six-seater vehicles and has a capacity of 1250 riders per hour.
Jaya Ancol – which operates a theme park, a water park, an aquarium and a holiday resort on the site – attracts around six million visitors in total each year.
