Elaine Jobson, CEO of Jetts, publishes high performance management book

Jetts CEO, Elaine Jobson, releases management book
High Performance through Happy People says happy staff is the key to a profitable business
Jobson will be signing copies at the HCM Summit on 24 October
The book includes practical strategies to reform the workplace

Happy staff make more profitable businesses is the message of Jetts CEO, Elaine Jobson’s new book High Performance through Happy People.

Jobson will be travelling from Australia to London for the HCM Summit on 24 October where she'll meet delegates and do a book signing for everyone who want to secure their own copy.

“This is essentially a book on corporate culture through the lens of leadership,” Jobson told HCM. “It is about how to drive performance while retaining happy people.”

Jobson says when she started her career, 30 years ago, companies often prioritised performance and growth at any cost: “Many had toxic cultures in which employees were expected to climb the corporate ladder, often trampling on those around them in a frantic rush to reach the top.”

In the book, which she was invited to write by Major Street Publishing, Jobson challenges this as the best approach. “Through my experience of culture change at multiple brands within the industry I felt like I had created a formula that other leaders could use,” she says “I am passionate about culture and want to provide insights and tools into how other leaders can achieve cultural excellence.”

Jobson says she's shared everything she has learned, applied and gained results from and includes case studies, practical advice and real-life strategies on how to turn struggling cultures into award-winning workplaces.

“The book-writing process really helped me understand where I learned the lessons that shaped my own success," she says. "That's why I have the quote at the front of the book by Vinh Giang 'Don't ever put yourself on a pedestal, but put the lessons that made you who you are there, as those can be learned by others.’”

In a previous interview, Jobson told HCM about how Jetts built a culture as their competitive defence, treating the member journey as if someone is falling in love.
