Joint venture produces 70-acre sports centre in Hertfordshire
A joint venture between the Old Albanians Sports Association (OA Sport) and St Albans School has resulted in a sports complex of over 70 acres.
The £7m Woollams Playing Fields in Hertfordshire comprises two separate, but adjoining sports grounds. With a focus on excellence in amateur team sports and particularly on the development of young people, OA Sport covers 30 acres comprising a 15,000sq ft pavilion, five rugby pitches, two cricket pitches, four astro turf tennis courts and one soccer pitch.
The pavilion contains the OA Health & Fitness club with a gym, spa, sauna and beauty treatment clinic, as well as two bars and dining and meeting rooms. Details: www.oasport.com
