Jowell back in charge at DCMS
Tony Blair has announced that Tessa Jowell will return to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in the new government – a move seen as being designed to preserve continuity for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid.
It has also been confirmed that Richard Caborn will return to his position as minister for sport.
Caborn is the last minister to have been placed as part of Tony Blair's post-election reshuffle, which has also seen the addition of two junior ministers – James Purnell and David Lammy – to the ranks of DCMS, although their specific roles are still to be confirmed.
