Jubilee Draw raises funds to restore Queen's carriage
The National Railway Museum, York, is holding a Golden Jubilee Prize Draw to try and raise the £100,000 needed to restore Queen Victoria's last surviving royal carriage.
Visitors buying a £1 ticket for the draw stand a chance of winning tickets worth up to £1,200 to any Eurostar destination. The break will start with spending two nights in London courtesy of Superbreak Mini-Holidays.
'The carriage is one of the most popular and well-known vehicles in the world,' said Andrew Scott, head of the National Railway Museum. 'But the rigours of time, humidity and light levels needed to keep the saloon on public display have taken their toll.
'Visitors who buy Golden Jubilee Prize Draw tickets will be making a direct contribution to its conservation.'
There will be one draw per month during May, June and July and the three holiday prizes are for a family of four each. Details: +44 (0)1904 686271
