Jubilee Hall Trust launches staff wellness week
'If you look after your staff they will look after your customers' is a well worn aphorism but do we always practice what we preach?
The Covent Garden-based Jubilee Hall Trust decided to do just that by running a staff wellness week in May.
Staff got the opportunity to meet a range of experts who offered advice on issues ranging from retirement planning to nutrition.
Organised by HR Manager, Yinka Opaneye, the three half days ran across three sites, giving all staff the chance to attend.
A nurse conducted medical check-ups, a beautician offered massages and facials, whilst HSBC ran financial advice seminars. Professional counsellors were also on hand for one-to-one consultations and Breathe London provided short sessions on managing stress and 'training for happiness.'
Chief executive Phil Rumbelow said: "It was a great opportunity for us to say thank you to our staff by offering them something tangible and useful. The week culminated in our annual Staff Oscars event when we celebrated the successes of the past year."
