July launch for Willow Stream Abu Dhabi
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts will open its first site in Abu Dhabi, UAE, this July.
The 369-bedroom Fairmont Bab Al Bahr - developed by the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) and the Al Fahim Group - will boast a 26,910sq ft (2,500sq m) Willow Stream Spa.
In the past year, TDIC has created four hotels (including Fairmont) and more than 1,200 new bedrooms in the emirate. Prior to the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, the 318-bedroom Park Rotana opened in late 2009, with a six-treatment room spa and was the result of a partnership between TDIC and Al Mada Tourism.
