Frank Böhme, CEO of German health club operator Just Fit and president of the fitness network Interfit, has been selected to join Germany’s pro-business advisory panel the Senate of Economy.

The appointment marks the growing stature of fitness within the German economy and sees Böhme join an elite panel of 600 business leaders primarily comprised of prominent representatives of science, politics, society and media. The Senate of Economy is in permanent dialogue with German, providing business advice and information from a politically neutral standpoint.

“I’m very proud to be a member of the Senate of the Economy and will do my very best to represent the fitness industry,” said Böhme.

“The field of fitness is being taken more and more seriously and I’ll do everything to introduce our experiences and interests into politics.
