KAL appoints new regional managers
Two new regional managers have been appointed by Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) and will be based at the leisure trust's headquarters at the Stadium in Huddersfield.
Leah Cooper will oversee the operations of the five KAL sites in Dewsbury, Batley and Cleckheaton while Jenny Frear will oversee the operations of the six KAL sites in Huddersfield, Scissett, Holmfirth and the Colne Valley.
Speaking about her new role, Cooper said: "My passion is fitness but I am also interested in the community side of the business which is an important part of this new role. I am interested in getting children into fitness but also in encouraging them to keep active after they reach 16 years old."
Frear added: "We are focusing on improving standards both for the customer and internally. We are looking at every area including standards of the facilities and services we offer, health and safety, service delivery, key performance indicators and financial performance.
