KKP appointed to help deliver British Wrestling's Olympic legacy
Independent consulting firm Knight, Kavanagh and Page (KKP) has been appointed to help British Wrestling deliver its new nationwide club development and support project.
The aim of the scheme is to enhance "many aspects" of the national governing body's core network of clubs to capitalise on the sport's increased profile following London 2012.
Among the main areas of focus will be the recruitment and retention of both participants and volunteers; the improvement of coaching quality; and the enhancement of its school links.
British Wrestling chief executive Colin Nicholson said: "By strengthening our network of clubs throughout the country, we shall create both opportunities to increase wrestling participation at grass-roots level and identify the next generation of elite performers."
