Kids to experience life as a cowboy in Canadian museum
The Canadian Children’s Museum is set to unveil a new exhibition this weekend which allows children to experience life as a cowboy.
Joshua’s Journey: A Black Cowboy Rides the Chisholm Trail, is based on the book The Journal of Joshua Loper, A Black Cowboy, by Walter Dean Myers.
Visitors can learn about the Chisholm Trail, Joshua’s life, cowboy skills and see the equipment cowboys used.
The exhibition, which runs until January, has been created by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and Industry in partnership with the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative, the National Cowgirl Museum, the Cattle Raisers Museum and the book’s publisher, Scholastic.
