Kings Dominion to invest in Snoopy and friends
Virginia theme park, Kings Dominion, has announced a multi-million dollar expansion to its Planet Snoopy children's area this winter, ready for launch next spring.
The seven-acre extension will double the size of the park's PEANUTS themed area and add at least 12 new and re-themed attractions, including a balloon-ride and a teacup ride.
There will also be live shows, meet and greet opportunities with the characters, such as Snoopy and Charlie Brown and family care facilities with changing stations and nap areas.
"Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang are instantly recognisable and nostalgic characters that both parents and children can experience together," says Kings Dominion's vice president and general manager, Pat Jones. "The sizeable expansion to Planet Snoopy is unparalleled in scope to anything in this region and reaffirms our commitment to delivering world class family thrills and entertainment."
