Kocho launches
Australian beauty training company Headmasters has opened its AUS$0.6m (US$0.47m, 0.36m euro, £0.24m) Kocho day spa in Melbourne’s Central Business District.
Designed by Australia-based Guy Tulloch, the Japanese-inspired spa has five treatment rooms including a couples’ suite and a hydrotherapy room, which features a cocoon hydrobath complete with colour therapy.
The spa also has a manicure area as well as changing areas and a relaxation room.
Situated on the same floor as Headmasters’ beauty school, Kocho currently has five therapists – one of which has just graduated from the school.
The spa manager is Amber Belden, who has more than eight years of international experience in the spa industry.
The spa menu offers traditional Japanese massages, including shiatsu. The signature therapy, the Kocho, includes a massage and a facial. All treatments begin with a water purification treatment and end with green tea.
